The countdown has begun for admission to the country’s most prestigious law universities. The exam will commence on the 23rd of July from 2 pm and will end at 4 pm. The admit cards for the examination are available for download now.

Steps to Download CLAT Admit Card 2021

Students can download the admit cards from CNLU’s official website- consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Candidates need to enter their registration number/application number, and date of birth while downloading the admit card.

  • Visit the official website of CLAT at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 
  • Then click on the download admit card tab.
  • Fill in the required details like CLAT registration number/application number and date of birth. 
  • After entering the credentials, your admit card appears on your screen to download.

Candidates can now download and save it on their device or they can take a printout of the same for additional safety.

If you have applied for the exam, you are advised to read all the instructions carefully before heading to the examination centre. You need to carry the admit card to the examination hall to ensure efficient examination conduct. Authorities are also advised with the Coronavirus guidelines so that students can be protected. 

CLAT examination is one of the most prestigious Law entrance exams in our country. This exam is conducted every year for all the higher secondary and college graduate students to get admission in India’s premier institutes for legal studies to pursue Graduation (UG) Post Graduation (PG) and Doctorates. What is CLAT exam pattern?

CLAT UG broadly covers the subjects from your higher secondary syllabus, while CLAT PG covers the subjects from the different branches of LLB.

As shown above, both CLAT UG and PG are pen and paper based offline examinations with the same duration of 2 hours. For CLAT UG there are 150 MCQ’s and for CLAT PG there is a provision of 120 MCQ’s. Previously, CLAT PG has the descriptive section also where applicants have to write the answers based upon subjects and case studies but the section has been removed recently to shorten the exam duration so that there will be no chances for virus infection.

Guide to attempt CLAT 2021

Every year around 60,000 candidates fight for 2500 seats for different Law colleges of legal studies. You should prepare distinctively in order to crack this exam in your very first attempt. 

Below are few tips for you to crack this exam in the first attempt;-

  • You should always begin your preparation with a detailed study of the syllabus. 
  • CLAT preparation usually takes 7 to 8 months of dedicated study in order to cover the whole CLAT syllabus.
  • A holistic approach is required to complete each section of the syllabus. You should divide time for different subjects as per your level of mastery. Tough subjects usually require more time to cover.
  • Make a habit of reading the newspaper on a daily basis, it will not only increase your reading ability but also make a strong foundation for the current affairs section.
  • Legal reasoning is a part where you have to read from multiple sources in order to tackle the section well. Everything news and happening in the legal arena should be in your book of ethics. Legal news from the newspaper, legal journals, and some personal discussion with qualified lawyers is all you need to master this section. 
  • The quantitative technique is a section that has around 15 to 27 questions, meaning 7 to 9 marks directly coming from this section making it one of the most crucial parts of preparation. Prepare it thoroughly from reliable sources.
     
  • Lastly, make sure to do as many mock tests as possible in a simulated environment so that you won’t face mental pressure while entering the examination hall.
