The CLAT syllabus was initiated by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). CLAT 2022 syllabus includes significant subjects from each part that students should study to pass the CLAT exam. 

Five Subjects Covered in CLAT 2022 are

  1. English Language

There will be 35-39 questions, which will make up around 25% of the test paper. Comprehending passages will be based on the following themes:

  • Legal editorials and opinions

  • International affairs
  • Other non-fiction writing

CLAT current affairs and general knowledge questions can contain a review of legal material or expertise.

CLAT Syllabus – Logical Reasoning 

CLAT’s logical reasoning helps candidates assess their critical thinking and analytical abilities. Candidates have to answer approximately 28-32 objective-type questions to demonstrate their abilities.

CLAT Syllabus – Legal Aptitude 

This section weighs 25% of the complete law examl. There will be 4-5 passages, each of which will be roughly 450 words long. The excerpts are taken from real-life situations involving public policy issues, legal issues, questions, or moral philosophical concerns. Candidates preparing for the CLAT exam are expected to have a basic knowledge and understanding of the law. However, answering the questions will require a basic comprehension and awareness of current legal and moral issues.
