The Consortium of NLUs conducts the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) in more than 80 cities across the country. The candidates applying for the CLAT exam have to choose three preferred cities while filling out the application form. It is advised to select the exam centers carefully as you will not be permitted to change the preferences once the application form is closed. How to Choose CLAT Exam Centres?
Candidates can choose three exam centers while filling out the application form. To select the CLAT exam centers, candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below.
- Visit the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in your personal details and other information.
- Login to the portal using your mobile number and password
- Click on the ‘Apply’ button
- Go to the CLAT application dashboard, and click on the ‘Preferences’ tab
- Choose any three CLAT exam centers in the order of preference.
- Provide other necessary details and submit the application form.
How to Edit the CLAT 2022 Exam Centre Preference?
- Candidates should Log in to the official website of CLAT.
- Then go to the ‘Edit My Application’ tab on the dashboard.
- Next, navigate to ‘Exam Centre Preference Tab’ and edit based on your preferences.
- Then click on the ‘Next’ button, mark the declaration box, and save the application form.
Note: Candidates will NOT be allowed to change the exam center preferences after the last date to submit the application form.

Documents Required at the CLAT Exam Centre
Candidates must carry the items listed below to the exam center:
- Admit Card
- Blue/Black Ball Pen
- Original Government Issued Photo ID
- Transparent water bottle.
- Self-health declaration
- Own mask, gloves, and personal hand sanitizer
- Disability certificate for PWD candidates
Below you can find the list of the photo ID allowed in the CLAT Exam Centre:
- Driving License
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Voter’s ID Card
- Bank Passbook with a photograph
- Photo ID evidence with an image issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead
- Photo ID evidence with a photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead
- A valid, current ID card issued by a recognized college or university is required.
- Aadhar card/ Employee ID/ Bar Council Identity Card with a photograph
CLAT Exam Centre Details
- The candidates are required to provide their exam center preference while filling out their application form.
- Once the application form is submitted, the exam centers can not be changed.
- The exam centers are allotted to the students on the basis of their preferences and the availability of seats in those exam centers.
- Students should carry their admit card and a valid photo ID proof to the exam center. They will not be allowed to enter the exam center if they fail to bring these documents.
- Applicants should reach the CLAT exam center an hour before the commencement of the exam.

Important CLAT Exam Day Instructions
Candidates are instructed to follow the guidelines mentioned below:
- Candidates must maintain social distancing at the exam center and avoid crowd gatherings.
- Body temperature will be measured at the entrance gate.
- Candidates with COVID 19 symptoms or high body temperature must request a separate room.
- Candidates who avail of scribe services must follow the scribe guidelines as well.
- Candidates must use the masks and gloves provided by the exam center.
- Candidates who are found cheating or helping other candidates will be disqualified and prosecuted.
- The CLAT exam center does not provide any facility for safekeeping, and the candidate is solely responsible for his personal belongings.
- The candidates must sign the admit card in the presence of the Invigilator inside the examination hall. The signature must be similar to the one in the application form.
