
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has revised the exam date for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022. The law entrance exam was earlier scheduled to be held on May 8, but will now be conducted on June 19, 2022, between 2 & 4 PM for both CLAT UG and PG programs.
CLAT 2022 registration has also been extended, along with the postponement of the exam date. Earlier, the exam was to be held on May 8, 2022, and the last date to apply for the law entrance exam was March 31, 2022. However, candidates can now apply online for CLAT till May 9, 2022.
The reason for the CLAT postponement is not known; however, candidates are now advised to make notes of these new dates and prepare accordingly.

CLAT 2022: Application Form
The online application form of CLAT 2022 for admission to law programs at the participating NLUs has opened on January 1, 2022. The last date to apply for CLAT 2022 is May 9, 2022. The application form should be filled by candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Note: Only genuine and verifiable information must be provided in the form, as every detail will be examined at the time of admission. Students found to be falsifying information will be disqualified.
CLAT 2022: How to Apply Online?
- Candidates should visit the official website of the Consortium of National Law Universities.
- Then, click on the link ‘CLAT 2022.’
- Login using your credentials to fill the CLAT application form
- Start filling CLAT 2022 application form by giving all details and uploading the necessary documents.
- Pay the application fee and click on the submit button.
- Now, your CLAT registration is complete. Download and save a copy of the form for future references.
CLAT 2022: Application Fee
CLAT 2022 official notification mentions that the application fee for the Unreserved category is Rs. 4000 and for those applying under SC and ST category is Rs. 3,500.
CLAT 2022: Eligibility Criteria
For UG CLAT, candidates with 45% marks (40% in case of SC, ST candidates) or equivalent grade in Class 12th exam are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam in March 2022, are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2022. However, the students will be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they will lose their right to be considered for admission.
For CLAT PG, candidates must have an LLB or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks or its equivalent grade. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the required mark is 45%. There is no upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2022.
CLAT 2022 Admit Card Date
The admit card will be released in online mode. CLAT 2022 admit card will include details like date and time of the exam, reporting time, name and address of the CLAT exam centre, and the roll number. On the exam day, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time.

CLAT 2022: Paper Pattern
The CLAT UG paper has five sections; English Language, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude, comprising comprehension-based questions.
