CLAT 2022: Admission Notification, Exam Dates Announced, Application Form

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities and other private law schools accepting CLAT scores.

The Consortium of NLUs will release the notification and exam dates for CLAT 2022 exam on CLAT official website. The official notification will contain a detailed schedule and exam modalities. To know more about the exam date, application process, and eligibility criteria of CLAT, read further.

The consortium of NLUs will conduct an offline-based exam around the 1st week of May. The exam will be conducted in 82 cities and 147 test centres across the country. The students will have to answer 150 objective-type questions in 2 hours of duration.

CLAT 2022 Application Form Date

The CLAT 2022 online application form for admission to NLUs and other private institutes will open tentatively in the 1st week of January. The application form can be filled by candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. 

Note: Students should use only the genuine and verifiable information to fill the form as every detail will be verified at the time of admission. Those found to provide false information will be disqualified. 

CLAT 2022 Application Process

Following are the steps to fill the application form online:

1) Visit the CLAT Consortium website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in

2) To register, enter your phone number, email, and password to get OTP. Validate it to get login details.

3) Login with a registered mobile number and password.

4) Now, start filling in your personal, academic, and contact details. Select the preferred CLAT UG or PG program options and enter preferred NLUs in the order of priority from the drop-down menu.

5) Next, upload your scanned photograph, signature, and other documents.

6) Fill in all the required details and click on the submit button.

7) Once everything is done, make payment using a debit card/credit card to complete the CLAT 2022 application form submission process.

CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory for students to fulfill the eligibility criteria of CLAT 2022. The applicants who are unable to fulfill any of the eligibility criteria will be disqualified before the admission rounds. Also, a few of the eligibility criteria will vary as per the category of the candidates. You can check the eligibility norms of the exam below.

Eligibility for CLAT UG Courses

  • Candidates must have cleared the Class 12 board examination with at least 45% marks for Gen/OBC/PWD and 40% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidates waiting for the Class 12 results can also apply.
  • No age limit. 

CLAT 2022 Admit Card

The CLAT admit card will be released a few days before the CLAT exam. It will carry details like the date and time of the exam, reporting time, roll number, name and address of the allotted CLAT 2022 exam centre. On the exam day, the candidate needs to report to the exam centre at the reporting time.

CLAT 2022 Result Date

The consortium will declare the CLAT results exam within a few days after the conduct of the entrance exam. CLAT 2022 results will be released both in the form of scorecards and consolidated merit lists. Students can download the scorecard by entering the CLAT Application Number / Admit Card Number and date of birth.
