Clat Cut-off is basically the minimum score/rank required to score at which the qualified candidates will be offered admissions in different colleges accepting CLAT scores/ranks. The NLUs are some of the best-rated colleges in India, hence the competition is also quite intense and the cut-off ranks are very high. Star your CLAT 2021 preparation with ourClat Online Classes.
Factors affecting CLAT Cut-off
The cut-off marks for CLAT are affected because of the following factors, every year:
Difficulty – If the CLAT exam paper is easy, then the cut off is expected to go high and vice-versa.
The total number of seats – If the total number of seats are revised in any year and are increased, then the cut off is expected to remain low.
Applications received – If the total no. of applications received is less than the seats available in the NLUs, then the cut off is expected to be low.
Total candidates qualifying CLAT exam – If the total qualifying candidates is less than the total seats, then the cut off will go low.
Previous year cut off – The cut-off marks for the tier-1 NLU in the previous years have been really high; therefore, only toppers could make it for the final admissions. For tier-2 and tier-3 NLUs, the cut off marks are relatively low.
