The Rajasthan High Court is likely to release the notification for the RJS exam in 2025 on the official website. The RJS notification contains the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria, selection process, examination pattern, important dates, and other important information.
RJS Eligibility Criteria 2025
The RJS eligibility includes age limits, education qualifications, and other details.

1. Age Limit
The aspirant must be more than 21 years of age and must not exceed 40 years of age.

2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a law degree from a recognized law university.
3. Nationality
Candidates must be permanent citizens of India.
4. Character Certificate
Candidates must possess good character. They must not have pending cases or criminal records to be eligible for the civil judge position in the Rajasthan High Court. Moreover, candidates must have a clean record and should not have been engaged in anti-social or unlawful activities.
Further, they require 3-character certificates: one issued by the Dean of the college or the Principal/ Academic Officer of the institute in which they last studied—and the other 2 character certificates from the responsible persons not related to them.

RJS Application Form 2025
After the notification, the High Court of Rajasthan will release the application for a civil judge. The application dates will be available after the official RJS notification. Eligible candidates can apply through the Rajasthan Judicial official website.

Rajasthan Judiciary Syllabus 2025
The exam scheme for recruitment to the cadre of civil judges consists of the following:

1. RJS Prelims Syllabus
The prelims shall be an objective exam with 70% weightage to Law Paper I and II subjects and 30% to test proficiency in Hindi and English.
The maximum mark for prelims shall be 100, and there shall be 100 questions. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers, and the test shall be conducted on OMR answer sheets. The duration of the test shall be 2 hours. The marks obtained in this screening test shall not be counted to determine final merit.

2. RJS Mains Syllabus
The mains examination is subjective. It assesses candidates’ in-depth knowledge of legal subjects. Candidates qualify for the main exam if they pass the screening exam. This level usually consists of written papers on several legal subjects, such as civil law, criminal law, and language competency.
Each of the 2 law papers, worth 100 marks each, lasts 3 hours. Paper I in Hindi and Paper II in English carry 50 marks.

3. RJS Personal Interview
The RJS interview is the last stage of the selection process. Candidates who meet all the qualifying requirements and have completed the prelims and mains tests will be called for the interview round. The interview is conducted for a total of 35 marks.
Here, the candidate’s suitability for employment in the service shall be tested concerning their record at the school, college, and university and their character, personality, address, and physique.
The questions asked may be general and not necessarily academic or legal. However, they are intended to test their GK, including knowledge of current affairs and current-day problems.
Also, marks shall be awarded for the candidate’s proficiency in Rajasthani dialects and knowledge of Rajasthani social customs. These marks shall be added to the scores secured in the written exam by the candidate.

Rajasthan Judiciary Salary 2025
