– Those opting for Freeze or Float must pay the requisite confirmation fee to secure their seat.
Round 2 – Seats vacated after the first round are reallocated. The second list considers candidates who opted for Float and those next in merit.

– Similar to Round 1, candidates can choose to Freeze, Float, or Exit.

– Newly allotted candidates must pay the confirmation fee if they choose to accept the seat.
Round 3– Further reallocations are made based on remaining vacancies and candidates’ preferences.

– The options to Freeze, Float, or Exit remain available.

– Candidates accepting seats must ensure timely payment of the confirmation fee.
Round 4– This round addresses any remaining vacancies, with allotments made accordingly.

– Confirmation fee payment is required for seat acceptance.

– The Float option is discontinued after this round.
Round 5– The last round finalizes seat allocations, filling any remaining seats.

– Candidates must either accept the allotted seat (Freeze) or Exit. The Float option is unavailable in this round.

– Final confirmation and payment of any remaining fees are required to secure admission.
  • Document Verification: After accepting a seat, candidates must undergo document verification as per the schedule provided by the allotted NLU.
  • Withdrawal and Refunds: Candidates opting to Exit the counselling process should be aware of the refund policies regarding the counselling and confirmation fees.
  • Adherence to Deadlines: Timely action is crucial in each round, including fee payments and decision-making, to avoid forfeiture of the allotted seat.

1. Freeze:

Accept the allotted seat and exit the counselling process. Pay the remaining university fees to finalize admission.

2. Float:

Accept the current seat but stay open for higher preference allocation in subsequent rounds.

3. Exit:

Withdraw from the counselling process of CLAT 2025, forfeiting the confirmation fee if applicable.
